Reginald "Reggie" Kray (24 October 1933 - 1 October 2000) and his twin brother Ronald "Ronnie" Kray (24 October 1933 - 17 March 1995) were two real life London Gangsters. They were responsible for running crime in the East End of London during the 1950s and 1960s. Their gang was known as "The Firm". Ronnie was responsible for the murder of George Cornell in 1966 and Reggie was responsible for the murder of Jack "The Hat" McVitie in 1967. They were both arrested in 1968 and sentenced to life in prison in 1969. Ronnie was declared insane, and sent to Broadmoor Hospital, where he died of a heart attack in 1995. Reggie was released from prison on compassionate grounds in 2000, due to being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Reggie died a free man on 1 October 2000.

The GetawayEdit

In The Getaway, Charlie Jolson says "He used to run London with real men, like Ronnie and Reggie". It can therefore be said that Charlie worked with the Krays during the 1960s before the twins were arrested.

The Getaway: Black MondayEdit

In The Getaway: Black Monday, Danny West introduces Arthur, who is an old man and an expert safe cracker. Danny has hired him for the bank job and says "He used to work for the Krays ya know". It can therefore be said that Arthur used to do jobs and crack safes for the Krays prior to their arrest.

TriviaEdit

  • Nick and Jimmer Collins may be another reference to the Kray Twins, in that they are both brothers and run a gang. They are also both killed by the end events of the both games.
