Here is a list of cheat codes that can be used for The Getaway and The Getaway: Black Monday.
Entering a Cheat Code
When entering a cheat code, it must always be entered during the FMV (Full-motion video) screen (intro screen) that appears before the start screen where all the options for playing the game are presented to the player. In The Getaway, if the cheat code has been entered correctly you will hear the sound of a woman grunting or screaming to confirm the cheat has been activated. In The Getaway: Black Monday, if the cheat code has been entered correctly the top and bottom of the screen will flash green to confirm the cheat has been activated.
If you enter the same code again, the cheat will be deactivated. In The Getaway, this is confirmed by the sound of smashing glass. In The Getaway: Black Monday, this is confirmed by the top and bottom of the screen flashing red.
The Getaway Cheats:
Free Roaming:
Triangle, Triangle, Triangle, Left, Square, Triangle, Triangle, Triangle, Left, Circle.
Note: To access, go to Special Features, then Free Roaming.
Infinite Ammo:
Up, Down, Left, Right, Triangle, Up, Down, Left, Right, Square.
Note: This cheat also means you won't ever have to reload.
Double Health:
Up, Up, Left, Left, Right, Right, Circle, Circle, Down.
Armored Car Weapon:
Up, Down, Left, Right, Square, Triangle, Circle.
Note: You can use the weapon by pressing L3 in a vehicle during any mission.
The Getaway: Black Monday Cheats:
Double Health:
Up, Up, Left, Left, Right, Right, Circle, Circle, Down.
Silenced Guns:
Up, Down, Left, Right, Triangle, Up, Down, Left, Right, Square.
Visual Effects:
Square, Triangle, Right, Circle, Left, Left.
Note: To access this, once you've entered the cheat, play the game and enter the pause menu by pressing start. Go to options and an extra option called 'Screen Effect' will have been added. You can then change it from Standard to Sketch, Poster, Pack or Bloom.
Trivia
- There is no cheat code for infinite ammo in The Getaway: Black Monday. Other websites often wrongly list the silenced guns cheat code as a cheat code for infinite ammo. The reason for this is probably because the cheat code is the same cheat code used for infinite ammo in The Getaway.
- The double health cheat code is the same code for both games.
